Camperships

The Campership Program is designed for children whose families’ financial situation might not otherwise allow the opportunity to enjoy an educational/recreational experience at Lourdes Camp.

Health/Safety

We have an infirmary with a resident nurse in charge of medications and first-aid needs. A local doctor and hospital are available on a 24-hour basis for consultations with our nurse.

Please send only prescription medications to camp with your child. Medications must be in the original container or we cannot dispense them.

All medications are kept at the infirmary. Campers requiring an inhaler or “puffer” for breathing ailments are allowed to keep these items with them—this is the only exception.

We supply appropriate over-the-counter medications for common ailments and illnesses. Please do not send any to camp.

All medications are returned to parents at the time of pick up.

Our Nurse or Director will contact parents if a camper’s illness or injury requires treatment by a physician.

If you will be away during your child’s stay at camp (vacation, business, etc.) please leave us the appropriate phone numbers.

Health Insurance

Lourdes Camp, Inc. carries liability insurance only and does not provide health insurance. If a camper requires medical care by a doctor or hospital, prescription drugs, dental/orthodontic services and/or eye glass repairs, the parent is financially responsible.
