We have an infirmary with a resident nurse in charge of medications and first-aid needs. A local doctor and hospital is available on a 24-hour basis for consultations with our nurse.
Please send only prescription medications to camp with your child. Medications must be in the original container or we cannot dispense.
All medications are kept at the infirmary. Campers requiring an inhaler or “puffer” for breathing ailments are allowed to keep these items with them—this is the only exception.
We supply appropriate over-the-counter medications for common ailments and illnesses. Please do not send any to camp.
All medications are returned to parents attime of pick up.
Our Nurse or Director will contact parents if a camper’s illness or injury requires treatment by a physician.
If you will be away during your child’s stay at camp (vacation, business, etc.) please leave us the appropriate phone numbers.
Lourdes Camp, Inc. carries liability insurance only and does not provide health insurance. If a camper requires medical care by a doctor or hospital, prescription drugs, dental/orthodontic services and/or eye glass repairs, the parent is financially responsible.
Parents are able to complete a health form online when registering. Please remember to print the over the counter medication form, have it signed by a doctor and bring it with you to Sunday registration.
New York State law requires a physical exam within 24 months of your child’s last day at camp. (Physician, nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant must conduct Physical.)
Parent or guardian must sign form.
Immunization record is required.
The insurance information is essential in case of emergency or accident requiring a visit to the doctor.
If we DO NOT possess a completed and signed health form your child will not be able to attend camp.
