Welcome to the Lourdes Camp CIT Program
Online Application - We are no longer accepting applications.
The Counselor-In-Training Program is a two week program that provides 15 year olds the opportunity to see what it’s like to be a camp counselor.
Those interested in joining the program should complete the online application and e-mail to the camp office. Interviews for prospective CIT’s will be held on Saturday, June 5 at camp during our annual open house. The CIT directors will contact you concerning an interview time.
All CIT’s will report to camp for one day during staff orientation week to meet camp staff and get acquainted with the other CIT’s. CIT’s will be at camp for both week 1 and week 5 (Sunday-Friday). Attendance during both weeks is required. The cost for the two week training is $350.
Once at camp the CIT directors will assign “mentors” (senior camp staff) for the week. You will sleep in the cabin with campers and two staff and help with the camper’s schedules, cabin activity and at all meals. Each morning during first activity period you will meet with the CIT directors to discuss the roles and responsibilities of a camp counselor, any problems that may arise, daily schedule, activities, etc.
Why be a CIT?
